Nannyhjälp: Multilingual Education & Family Support Service, connecting schools and families with mother-tongue teachers who provide both classroom instruction and personalized study or childcare support.
As Business Developer and Project Manager, I initiated and developed Nannyhjälp, a service designed to increase employment opportunities for mother-tongue teachers while improving educational and childcare support for families and schools. The concept addressed two core challenges: limited working hours and income for multilingual teachers, and the fragmented, time-consuming process schools and parents face when sourcing tutoring and childcare support.
I created an integrated service model where Omniglot’s multilingual teachers could work as native-language instructors during school hours and as nannies, homework tutors or study buddies outside school. This allowed families to access consistent, language-based support while enabling schools to purchase both teaching and tutoring services from a single provider — reducing administrative work, improving quality consistency and optimising costs.
My work spanned both B2B and B2C development, including market and competitor analysis, service design, pricing and budgeting models, implementation planning, and marketing strategy. I also created operational tools and a service blueprint prototype to illustrate how Nannyhjälp could be delivered across both online and in-person formats. Early validation showed that theintegrated model could increase teacher utilisation by 10–15% while reducing sourcing time for schools and families.
Nannyhjälp was designed as a scalable, multilingual solution supporting Sweden’s education and childcare sectors with more efficient, accessible and culturally informed services.
