McHealy: AI Diagnostic & Treatment Optimization System, a data-driven healthcare solution designed to improve diagnostic precision, patient flow and operational efficiency.
As an AI Business Strategy Consultant, I collaborated with PwC on a strategic brief from a healthcare organisation to improve diagnostic and treatment planning through AI-driven innovation. The project addressed key challenges such as diagnostic inconsistency, time-intensive workflows, fragmented data and strict data privacy and compliance requirements.
I conducted market and organisational analysis, process mapping and feasibility assessments using real-world hospital data on diagnostic accuracy and error rates from several hospitals, including Johns Hopkins Hospital. Using SIPOC and BPMN workflow mapping, I identified bottlenecks and delays that contributed to approximately a 20% slowdown in the diagnostic-to-treatment process. These insights guided the design of an AI-supported enterprise system aimed at enhancing diagnostic precision, optimising patient flow, automating documentation steps and strengthening overall operational performance.
My responsibilities also included risk management, ROI evaluation and developing a scalable AI implementation roadmap aligned with healthcare regulations (GDPR, HIPAA) and Responsible AI principles. As part of the deliverables, I developed a concept-level prototype illustrating how automated data retrieval, decision support and workflow optimisation could be integrated into clinical routines.
The project demonstrated how data-driven strategy and AI integration can deliver measurable value by improving accuracy, reducing delays, lowering operational costs and supporting more sustainable and patient-centred healthcare outcomes.
